For today’s blog I decided to write about what I did yesterday. This will be the first A day in the life of Madeline blog that will go back. You should expect to see these types of blogs going up once or twice a month, so without further ado let’s get started with the blog!
A day in the life of Madeline
Friday January 13, 2017
5:30 am – 7:20 am
I started my day at 5:30 am. After I wake up the first thing I usually do is go check Instagram. That usually takes me about 10 minutes and then I proceed to do my morning routine which I don’t need to go into details. I’m sure everyone has a somewhat similar morning routine. After I am done with brushing my teeth and all that jazz, I eat breakfast. I had eggs and coffee this morning. Nothing special at all. I usually don’t like eating breakfast so early, but I need to in order to take my medications. Besides it doesn’t feel right to go on doing my school and other stuff without eating breakfast.
If you noticed It did take me quite a long time to finish what I had to do. The main reason behind that is that today I decided to exercise some. Just simple stretches to get my muscles relaxed. I have been looking around online for some MS related fitness programs, but It’s just impossible. I just decided to create one for myself from the things I researched. The main reason I am doing my exercises at home is because I really don’t want to do physical therapy. I just don’t want to add another medical thing in my already too big list.
7:20 am – 8:05 am
I just like to point out that even if it’s this early, the heat is unbearable. The high is going to be 78 degrees. I don’t understand why it’s so hot even though it’s January. Here is the irony though… It was snowing last week. The weather can’t make up its damn mind. Sheesh! But enough with the weather rant.
At 7:20, I decided to check my emails. I usually do that in the morning as well since I want check if there are assignments or blog related things I need to do throughout the day. After I finish checking my emails, I go over to the Episode forums that has now become a thing I do every day. I check my inbox and any messages on my thread, and I also do reviews on there, so I try to let everyone know when I would read their stories. I didn’t even notice it was almost 8. Compared to other days, I’m running super behind. Usually by this time, I have already started my classes. For those of you who don’t know, I am homeschooled, so I can start my classes whenever I want.
8:05 am – 10:30 am
At 8:05, I started my classes. Like I mentioned before I started my classes a bit late today, but I was able to finish quickly. Thank god! I have a lot of things I have to get done, and I was worried that I might not have the time. And I just noticed today is Friday the 13th. Oh, my gosh. I am so late. By the way what’s the thing with Friday the 13th ? Like seriously? What’s so bad about it?
10:30 am – 12 pm
I started recording the learn Amharic #10 video at 10:30 and didn’t not get done until 12 pm. I knew it would take me a long time and that was one of the reasons why I was extremely worried about my schedule for the day. It takes me longer to record the lesson videos, since I tend to pause a lot and say the words a couple of times.
12 pm – 3:35 pm
Alright, so I did a lot of things in this three-hour time frame. The first thing I did was to log in to Swagbucks to do some surveys and do the daily poll. After that I decided to watch Divorce Court, because Divorce Court is life. Surprisingly the couple that were in this episode was decent and didn’t have any major issues.
Next I went on to do one last revision of episode 1-4 of my story. I will not be going back to change anything from now on until I have completed the story. I want to focus on creating episode 5 which I still haven’t started on yet. Like the deadline is on Wednesday. I don’t think I’ll make it, but hopefully If I write for a long time of Sunday I might get it done. I want to start testing the chapter by Monday or Tuesday. Usually I don’t test my stories until I have written the whole chapter which I think might be a bad idea, but I noticed I go way faster if I’m not pausing and testing every scene. I do the major directing once everything is written out.
After that I decided to eat lunch. For lunch, I actually had an Ethiopian food. I just love Ethiopian food. After lunch, I decided to play so Solitaire, because why not right? I have to keep myself entertained, right? Besides the Microsoft challenges are super fun. Lol and you get trophies. Who hates trophies right?
3:35 pm – 6:10 pm
For three hours, I decided to play wizard101. I know such a weird game to play, but I must tell you once you start it’s very addicting. It doesn’t even feel like you are spending half your day playing it. Eventually I decided to stop, because I got super hot. Yeah, It’s still hot!
6:10 pm – 9:10 pm
I took a shower and ate dinner. This is probably the most boring part of the day. I’m just noticing how as the day goes on, I’m doing less and less. Well let me tell you what I had for dinner. I had soup for dinner. Yay something light. I’m trying to be healthy, but yeah of course I’m failing. I can’t help but have junk food around me. It’s just a habit. Like I must have some type of chocolate, cookie, or candy around me to function. This is truly a bad habit! I read somewhere that surrounding yourself with food actually makes you hungry quicker, so I might actually stop having food around me.
9:10 pm – 12 am
I played wizard101. Yes I know but the game is so addicting. I couldn’t help myself. Another thing you guys wonder might be the fact “How can she go to bed so late and still wake up early?” To answer that I have no clue myself. I guess I catch on sleep on Sundays which allows me to function throughout the week. But I do get at least 5 hours of sleep every night, so yay! It’s not that bad.
And that’s how I spent my Friday. I know It wasn’t exciting or anything like that, but I do enjoy doing these types of blogs. I actually did a couple over at my old blog. The main reason I do these types of blogs is the fact they are fun and easy to do. I don’t need to do any research on them or take the time to actually think about them. All I need to do is jot down things I did throughout the day. Simple, right? If you guys enjoy these types of blogs let me know in the comments, because I enjoy creating them.Follow me on:
